“Pennsylvania communities are suffering and water is being polluted because PADEP is serving the gas and oil companies, not the people who live and work here. Why is this? Because Governor Corbett is under the influence of the gas industry and protecting the public just isn’t a priority. Governor Corbett has set up a DEP that has no qualified head, that stonewalls the public, that hides information about water tests from residents who have turned to them to solve the pollution that gas development has brought, that does not reliably report the facts, and that is adrift during the largest drilling campaign in Pennsylvania history. No more cover ups, no more pollution, no more absent DEP!
